How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Introduction

Learn2FX ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our trading analysis platform and related services. Learn2FX, operated from the United Kingdom, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our services are intended for adults and are not directed at anyone under 18.

By using Learn2FX, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our services.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide.
  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan (Trader or Pro), our payment processor (Stripe) collects and holds your payment details. Card numbers and payment credentials never touch our systems – we store only a reference linking your account to your Stripe customer and subscription records, plus a billing event trail that contains no payment details.
  • Communications: When you contact us, we collect the content of your messages and any information you provide.
  • Journal & Reflection Content: Trade journal entries, notes, emotion logs, and reflections you write in the platform.
  • Early-Access Responses: Answers you give in the early-access questionnaire, including any free-text responses.
  • Discord Identity (optional): If you choose to link Discord, we store your Discord user ID and username, and write your membership tier to Discord to assign roles.

Information Collected When You Connect a Broker Account

  • Broker Connection Data: If you connect a trading account, we store the OAuth tokens and account identifiers needed to maintain that connection. We never see or store your broker password.
  • Trading Data: Orders you place through the platform, your positions, executed trade history, and profit-and-loss figures, which power the charts, journal, risk, and analysis features.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: How you interact with our platform, including pages viewed, features used, and time spent.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and IP address.
  • Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions and remember preferences.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send technical notices, updates, and security alerts
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
  • Personalise and improve your experience
  • Generate AI-powered features you request: trade reviews, psychology reports, chart annotations, and coaching draw on your trading data and journal content (see AI Processing below)

AI Processing & Profiling

Some features analyse your trading history, journal entries, and emotion logs to generate insights about your trading behaviour – for example, the psychology report and AI trade review. This analysis is performed using Anthropic's Claude models (see Third-Party Services). It runs only on content generated by your use of the platform, its outputs are shown to you, and it is never used to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Risk-management features such as cooldowns apply only rules you configured yourself.

Legal Bases for Processing

Where UK/EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases: processing needed to provide your account and, for paid plans, to manage your subscription and payments is based on performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK/EU GDPR); security monitoring, fraud prevention, and service analytics rely on our legitimate interests; retention of billing and audit records relies on our legal obligations (tax record-keeping) and the establishment or defence of legal claims; and where we ask for your consent (for example, optional communications), that consent is the basis and you may withdraw it at any time.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third parties that perform services on our behalf. The full list, and what each one does, is in the Third-Party Services section below.
  • Your Broker: If you connect a trading account, the orders you place are transmitted to your broker for execution on your account.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+)
  • Encryption of data at rest
  • Regular security assessments
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Secure development practices

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your personal information.
  • Withdrawal: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at help@learn2fx.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) – ico.org.uk. If you are in the EU, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies & Tracking

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the platform to function (authentication, security).
  • Preference Cookies: Remember your settings and preferences.
  • Analytics Cookies: We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and only with your consent. No analytics cookie is set unless you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time via . Withdrawing consent stops analytics and removes Google Analytics cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our platform.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics: Usage analytics, loaded only after you allow analytics cookies in the cookie banner. Privacy Policy
  • Clerk: Authentication and user management. Privacy Policy
  • Convex: Database and backend services. Privacy Policy
  • Stripe: Payment processing for paid subscriptions. Stripe processes payments on our behalf and also acts as an independent controller of regulated payment data (for example, for fraud prevention and its own legal compliance). Privacy Policy
  • Vercel: Hosting and deployment, including Vercel Speed Insights, a cookieless service that measures page performance (Core Web Vitals) from real visits. Privacy Policy
  • Anthropic: AI processing for features you use – trade reviews, psychology reports, chart annotations, and the AI assistant. The trading data and journal content needed for the specific feature is sent to Anthropic's Claude models for processing. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. Privacy Policy
  • Spotware (cTrader): Broker connectivity. If you connect a trading account, we exchange your account identifiers, orders, positions, and trade history with the cTrader API to operate the trading, journal, and analysis features. Privacy Policy
  • Discord: Optional community linking. If you link Discord, we store your Discord ID and username and write your membership tier to Discord to assign roles – nothing else is shared. Privacy Policy
  • Cloudflare: Network and security infrastructure. Requests to our market-data and trading services pass through Cloudflare, which processes request metadata such as your IP address to route and protect traffic. Privacy Policy

International Transfers

Our database (Convex) is hosted in the European Union (Ireland). Some of the providers above process data in the United States, including Clerk, Stripe, Vercel, and Anthropic. Where personal data leaves the UK or EU, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards – the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum or International Data Transfer Agreement, or the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable to each provider.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal purposes – the retained categories below are kept as pseudonymized records (your account identifiers remain only as opaque references, with profile data removed), not as anonymous data. Specifically: records of orders and trades executed through the platform are retained in pseudonymized form for up to 6 years, in line with the UK limitation period for legal claims; billing and subscription event records (which reference Stripe transaction identifiers but never payment details) are retained for 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year to meet UK tax record-keeping duties and for the defence of legal claims; and a minimal record of consent you gave or withdrew is kept for the same period. Invoices and receipts are held by Stripe under its own legal retention obligations. Chat, coaching and journal reflection content is deleted, not retained.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
